As a freshman at senior high school, I have experienced a lot during the first few weeks. It has been a challenging but exciting journey.
When I first stepped into the new school, everything seemed so different from junior high. The campus is much larger, and there are more students and teachers. I was a bit nervous at the beginning, but the warm welcome from my classmates and teachers quickly made me feel at home.
One of the most important things was choosing courses. I had a variety of subjects to pick from, like maths, English, physics, and history. After careful consideration and with the help of my school adviser, I selected the courses that I was interested in and suitable for my future plans. For example, since I have a strong passion for science, I chose physics and chemistry.
In terms of extracurricular activities, there are numerous clubs and teams to join. I decided to be part of the school's reading club because I love reading. In the club, we share our favorite books, have lively discussions, and even organize reading competitions. It's a great way to make friends with the same hobby and improve my reading skills. I also wanted to join the basketball team, but unfortunately, I didn't pass the try - out. However, I'm not discouraged. I plan to practice more and try again next year.

The teachers here have different teaching methods compared to those in junior high. They encourage us to think independently and ask questions. In English class, our teacher often divides us into groups to do projects. This not only helps us learn the language but also improves our teamwork ability.
Although the workload is heavier than before, with more homework and more difficult knowledge to learn, I am determined to work hard. I believe that as long as I manage my time well and stay focused, I can adapt to the new study rhythm and achieve good results.
In conclusion, my first weeks at senior high school have been full of new experiences. I'm looking forward to more wonderful moments and challenges in the following months.
